Powerball September 16, 2026: Sum Falls 88 With No Repeats

An 88-point drop in the main-number sum was the clearest difference in the Powerball drawing for September 16, 2026. The five main numbers were 2, 21, 24, 25 and 64, followed by Powerball 7. The multiplier was 2x, and the published jackpot was $298 Million.

The 24-25 pair shaped the middle of the result

The only consecutive pair was 24-25. With 21 also nearby, three of the five main numbers landed within a five-number interval, while 2 and 64 sat well outside that middle grouping.

That placement created a range of 62, measured from the minimum main number of 2 to the maximum of 64. Although three numbers were clustered in the 20s, the distance between the two endpoints kept the overall range wide.

The main numbers totaled 136. The even numbers were 2, 24 and 64, while 21 and 25 were odd, producing a three-even and two-odd split. Powerball 7 is separate from that main-number calculation, so it is not included in the sum, range or odd-even count.

No main numbers carried over from September 14

The previous Powerball drawing, held September 14, 2026, had main numbers 19, 20, 57, 61 and 67, with Powerball 22. None of those five main numbers appeared again on September 16. The Powerball also changed, moving from 22 to 7, while the multiplier remained 2x in both drawings.

The September 14 main numbers had a sum of 224. Compared with the September 16 total of 136, that is a decrease of 88. Much of the difference came from the earlier result containing three main numbers above 50—57, 61 and 67—whereas the later result had only one, 64.
